My educational background is in the
elementary setting. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors
of Art in Elementary Education. I then took my degree and moved up to
Anchorage, Alaska where I taught for seven years. After my Alaska stint, I
returned to Utah to teach a couple of more years in both the Davis and
Granite districts. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 3rd/4th, and 5th grades, with
most of my teaching time being spent in the 3rd grade. Upon my return to
Utah I started to pursue an advanced degree in administration. I completed
my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Utah,
and was subsequently hired by the Murray School District – where I am very
pleased to be.
On a more personal note, I grew up in
Bountiful, Utah and currently reside there with my wife and two daughters. I
like to participate in sports, games, and have fun in general.
Viewmont is a great place to be, and if
you would like more information about the school and its programs I would
encourage you to contact me. My goal is to see all students succeeding at
Viewmont Elementary, and I believe it is a goal we can all share in and work
to accomplish together.
