Murray High School ARTSFEST Activities Announced

April 5, 2012, Murray, UT –Get ready…it’s Plaza Time!  FRIDAY, MAY 18^TH , Murray High School will hold its 9^th annual Arts Festival in the outer plaza, south of the school.  Mission:  AF2012, a mission impossible theme, will bring to life a wide array of art, culture, music and food all in the spirit of spy fun to be had by everyone.     For the seventh year the school program “Keys to Success,” sponsored by Ken Garff Auto, will give away an Ipad.  The student who wins the Ipad will be entered to win a new car later in May.

A variety of Murray students will showcase their talents in the plaza’s amphitheater with music and dance.  Amateur and professional artists will hold interactive demonstrations and exhibit their work and craft as well as display paintings, photography, ceramics, crafts, jewelry and much, much more!  There will be food for sale during the day and a variety of things to buy.  The Arts Festival opens at 9 am and goes until 3 pm.

Everyone, school and community, is invited to join in the fun.  A dollar donation is appreciated; however, entrance to the Arts Festival is FREE.  To locate the Plaza, enter Murray High School from State Street and park in the south parking lot. Deseret News story:  There will be about 100 classes, exhibits, a hands-on computer lab and family history consultants at the Murray Family History Fair on Saturday, June 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Murray High School, 5440 S. State St. The event is free, although registering for classes at www.MurrayFamilyHistoryFair.com is encouraged as seating may be limited.  You will also find more at this site.
