(Posted 2/22/12) Register now for the EXPANDING YOUR HORIZONS (EYH) CONFERENCE: Girls in grades 6 to 9 are invited to explore careers in math and science through fun, hands-on workshops taught by women in the field. This year’s ATK-sponsored EYH conference in Salt Lake City will be held Saturday, March 10, from 8 AM to 2 PM at Northwest Middle School (1730 W 1700 N, SLC). EYH Salt Lake also features a Higher Ed 101 session for parents from 9 to 10 a.m. with representatives from Utah’s leading post-secondary institutions and information about saving for college. There is no cost for this session. Conference sponsors include the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Women Tech Council, Salt Lake City School District and Salt Lake Community College.

Pre-registration is required (by February 22) – but register early before workshops are full. The cost is $16, payable by credit card. Register on-line (select “I am registering for the conference as a student).
