Since community service is no longer used to work off U's, you can now begin going to Saturday School to work off unexcused absences and U's. Take a look at the Flyer here to get the details.

Extended Learning Period Letter

Parents, please read this letter from Principal Dunn about the new Extended Learning Period at MHS.

Dress Code

Dress should never interfere with the learning environment of a school or prove a hazard to the students safety or to the safety of others. Therefore, the following articles are specifically prohibited:

• Hats, visors, hoods, or bandanas inside school buildings
• Clothing, badges, jewelry, or mode of appearance that denotes gang involvement or affiliation.
• Apparel that poses a concern such as pants sagging below the hips, spiked clothing, and chains.
• Clothing with obscene or suggestive images and/or messages.
• Apparel, jewelry, or accessories that advertise or advocate drugs, alcohol or tobacco.
• Halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps or cropped tops that reveal a bare midriff and short shorts or mini skirts.
• Clothing that is deliberately cut or mutilated.
• Clothing shall cover the midriff, underwear, back, shoulders, and cleavage at all times.

Students with U's

Only detention and saturday school will now count towards 'U' remediation (see details in the 'M' book).

Citizenship Detention

Citizenship Detention is held in the morning at 7 am and after school at 2:45 pm in room 117.

Don't forget that you need to pay for Saturday school ahead of time if you want to use that option.
