In School" Message from
Superintendent Richard R. Tranter
Welcome
Back to Murray City School District Schools! It is
hard to believe summer break is over, and the new school year
is underway. While I hope you and your family have had a great
summer, I look forward to welcoming all of our students back.
Our staff has been working hard to have things prepared and
our united goal is to serve all students in the Murray City
School District and provide them the very best education possible.
In the Murray District,
we believe that communication is an important key to serving
our educational community. We have several methods that we use
to share information for students, teachers and patrons, including:
1.
Murray District website (right
here) – a great source for calendar, special activities,
forms, curriculum info, HR, nutrition and so much other information.
It changes often, so keep checking it out! We also send out
"Twitter" updates every day on district events. Follow
us at MurraySchoolsUT.
2.
“Your Murray Schools” district newsletter –
published 6 times a year in the locally distributed, free Murray
Journal, including our Murray Community Education insert.
3.
MurrENEWS – an electronic publication which goes out regularly
to all Murray District employees and by request. If you would
like to sign up for informative email, just send a request to
info@murrayschools.org
4. We have a good relationship
with local newspapers, radio and television organizations, so
watch for coverage of our Murray Schools activities.
If you are new to our district, you may want to be aware that
our Board
of Education generally meets on the second Wednesday of
each month and visitors are welcome.
We hope that this information will be beneficial to assist you
in becoming more acquainted with MCSD as we begin the new school
year. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call

GOT YEARBOOKS?

If you have old
Murray High or other Murray schools yearbooks lying
around, we would be glad to give them a home. Our archives
are missing a few years of MHS volumes, and we are trying
to build duplicate sets in different locations for back-up
purposes. Drop them by the District Offices from 7:30 AM-4:30
PM, Mon-Fri, or email info@murrayschools.org
and we will arrange to pick up. For questions, call 801-264-7400
