Standard 1
Students will understand simple number concepts and relationships.

·         A Counting Photo Book 
Younger students
enjoy counting books. This one has been created by a Kindergarten class. Use this book to reinforce counting in a new way or as an example before creating your own classroom counting book

·         Count the Ants 
Ants march on the screen for the student to count.

·         Count the Bananas 
Count the bananas as the monkey eats them. The empty banana peel is tossed on the ground incase the student looses count.

·         Count the Kids 
The student counts the kids as they get on the bus to help get the bus load of kids to school.

·         Count the Seahorses 
Help free the seahorses by counting the ones in the box and selecting the seahorse with the correct number from the net.

·         Find the Number 
This game practices number recall. Pick the correct match and send the bird flying!

·         Higgly Ball 
Work on number recognition while playing a game of Higgly Ball.

·         Mystery Picture Countup 
Choose the square with the given number to reveal an animated picture.

·         Number Train 
Students add train cars to build a train and then can click on a train car number to see that number in pictures.

·         Snakes and Ladders 
This game needs partners. The partners play a game of snakes and ladders (a version of chuttes and ladders). They practice counting as they play.

·         Walking the Dogs 
In this interactive site, students must find the correct number of dogs before they can be walked.

 

 

 

 

Standard 2
Students will sort and classify objects as well as recognize and create simple patterns.

·         Check Out Cookie Monster 
In this fun interactive site students must identify the missing part of a pattern.

·         Oscar's Trash Collections 
In this fun interactive site students must sort objects using different categories.

·         Sampling Rocks 
Students learn about sampling through an investigation of rocks found in the schoolyard. Students array the collected rocks by characteristics such as size, weight, and color, to see if any generalizations can be made about the types of rocks that can be found in the schoolyard. Students are introduced to the notion of a sample, and how the size and method of collection of a sample can bias findings.

·         Zoe's Pet Shelter

Standard 3
Students will understand basic geometry and measurement concepts as well as collect and organize data.

·         Bobbie Bear 
Bobbie Bear is planning a vacation and wants to know how many outfits can be made using different colored shirts and pants. (K, 1, 2 educators may want to complete this activity as a whole class, to demonstrate the customization feature.)

·         Build a Robot 
Buid a robot by counting the number of a given coin. Good for coin identification.

·         I Spy Shapes 
Locate all the shapes in the pictures.

·         Identifying Time 
This Web site helps students identify time. (Be sure to use the red arrow to scroll through the various activities.)

·         Shape Hunt 
Students have opportunities to recognize, describe, build, and explore shapes in many different contexts. This investigation uses tangrams, or pattern blocks, in many of the activities. If these resources are unavailable, print out sets of tangrams from the Girl Tech website. Teachers may choose to add a circular object to students' tangram sets.

·         Shapeville 
Identify shapes in the student's environment.
