Cyberbullying is NEVER acceptable, in ANY context!
Did you know that we take it seriously at MCSD and have implemented a number of things to prevent it. These include:
- Carefully reviewing all district learning systems and software to ensure they have adequate security that prevents or addresses cyberbullying;
- Using enhanced filtering software on our network (iBoss) to help us spot any cyberbully activity;
- Provide teachers and students with digital citizenship training, and awarding “digital badges” to students who complete that training;
- “Bricking” (virtual disabling) of student Chromebooks when an incident is identified until it can be resolved with parents or guardians directly.
But, digital citizenship goes beyond the classroom. We invite our entire community of families to commit to working together to prevent cyberbullying activity.
