Parents we are aware of numerous social media threats of violence in schools and districts – both in Utah and nationwide. This is a good reminder for everyone to remain cautious and alert. If you see something, say something. Also, remember we have the SafeUT crisis and tip app as a valuable resource you and your student(s) can utilize.
Further, please be extra alert of what your students are doing on social media and how they are using it. Contact our educators or Murray City Police if you notice anything concerning with a student’s routine and/or behaviors (in-person or online).
And as always, communication between families, students, and educators is paramount. A consistent flow of openness fosters trust and confidence for all.
