This year, MEF made a significant impact on Murray students and educators through fundraising, community engagement, and essential programs.
We expanded our leadership team, welcoming three new board members who bring fresh energy and ideas to our mission. We also forged stronger connections with Murray business, government, and civic organizations.
Our 26th Annual Golf Tournament raised $22,000 for classroom grants, while the 22nd Annual Pinnacle Awards honored outstanding educators and support staff, raising $16,000. The 2025 Pickleball Tournament contributed $4,700 to Unified Sports and Special Education grants.
New initiatives included teacher advancement scholarships, with two educators receiving $3,000 to pursue Gifted Learning Endorsements, and three high school graduates each receiving $2,000 in scholarships for technical and creative careers. Our School Supply Drive and Angel Tree donation drive collectively raised an estimated $15,000 and provided critical resources to students in need.
MEF funded 136 classroom grants totaling $73,000 and secured a $5,000 vaccine grant from Intermountain Healthcare that, coupled with some additional emergency funds, supported about 20 students with healthcare needs. The Foundation also worked closely with Intermountain Healthcare on a shoe drive that yielded 480 pairs of shoes for students, and a bicycle drive that gathered close to 50 bikes. BizTown sponsorships and donations from Stampin’ Up and Eric Dowdle Puzzles enriched learning experiences.
Finally, we launched the Murray Matters newsletter and upgraded our website, enhancing donor engagement. Thank you to all our donors and volunteers – your continued support is making a difference for Murray students!
