Murray City School District (MCSD) Board of Education Member Glo Merrill has announced her resignation as a board member effective June 2, 2022. Board Member Merrill represents northwest Murray Precinct 1.
Board Member Merrill has served on the board since 2017. Her current term does not expire until 2024. The Board of Education will be appointing a replacement from Precinct 1 to fill the balance of her term. The boundaries for Precinct 1 can be found by clicking here.
Individuals living in Precinct 1 who are interested in applying for the position are asked to submit a cover letter of interest and a current resume by May 31, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. These can be dropped off at the MCSD district office front desk (5102 S. Commerce Drive) or emailed to Board President Jaren Cooper at jcooper@murrayschools.org.
Interviews will take place in a public meeting on June 7, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. and the newly appointed board member will be sworn in at the Board’s meeting on June 9, 2022.
