Murray City School District is pleased to announce the following district-level administrative hires, effective July 1, 2025. Both will be formally appointed at the Murray City School District Board of Education meeting on March 13, 2025. These follow the retirement announcements of Robin Williams, Director of Teaching and Learning – Secondary, and Kelli Kercher, Director of At-Risk Programs.
Dr. Bruce Eschler, Director of Teaching and Learning – Secondary
With 20 years of experience in education across the Murray and Canyons School Districts, Dr. Eschler currently serves as the principal of Jordan High School. His extensive background as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal has prepared him well for this role. MCSD is confident in his leadership and vision to enhance secondary education and support student and educator success district-wide.
Emily Bird, Director of At-Risk Programs
Ms. Bird brings 11 years of experience in education, serving in both the Murray City School District and the Utah State Board of Education. Her roles have included special education teacher, district at-risk program specialist, and program improvement planning systems specialist. Now in her fourth year as assistant principal at Murray High School, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success. MCSD is confident in Ms. Bird’s ability to lead and enhance IDEA and other at-risk services, ensuring meaningful student and educator support.
