The Murray School District is proud to be partnering with Friends for Sight again this year to hold Sightfest.
Sightfest is an annual school event that provides free eye exam and glasses to those who qualify.
Your child qualifies to participate in Sightfest if:
- Your child failed their vision screening AND they do not have medical insurance or Medicaid that covers a vision exam and/or glasses.
If you are unable to get your child in to an eye doctor for further evaluation and need some assistance, please contact us. This invitation is also extended to those students whose glasses are either lost or broken and need assistance in getting replacements. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, you will need to sign and return a permission slip that can be picked up at your school office before Friday, January 11, 2019. Our Sightfest event will take place during school on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Murray School District office, so please let us know if this opportunity will benefit you as quickly as possible. Transportation services will be provided for participating students. Each qualifying student will receive a free professional eye exam and pick out a pair of free eyeglasses if they need them. The glasses will then be delivered to your child’s school approximately four to six weeks following the event.
