Pickleball winning teamSaturday the Murray High School courts buzzed with energy and friendly competition at the inaugural Murray Education Foundation Charity Pickleball Tournament. Over 60 enthusiastic pickleball athletes participated in the sold-out event, making it a resounding success in support of MCSD’s Unified Sports and Special Education classrooms.

winning serveThe tournament featured mixed (COED), men’s, and women’s doubles divisions, each with beginner and intermediate skill levels ensuring engaging matches throughout the day. Following a round-robin format, each team enjoyed at least four spirited games with others going on to championship rounds.

Thanks to the generosity of the players and sponsors, and the hard work of volunteer parents and organizers, the event successfully raised thousands of dollars. These crucial funds will directly benefit the Unified Sports program, fostering inclusion and teamwork for student-athletes, and provide vital classroom grants for special education, empowering educators to create enriching learning experiences.
