MCSD would like your input on developing our 2023-24 and 2024-25 School Year Calendars. Utah Code and the Utah State Board of Education mandate 180 school days each year. This, balanced with recognized holidays, breaks, compensatory days, professional development, and other scheduling adjustments, all contribute to creating our school calendar.
The Murray Board of Education is charged with ratifying the official calendar. However, they value the input of our public and personnel, surveying each to give our communities a voice in helping decide the details of each calendar.

The survey results will be presented to the Board of Education at their October meeting for consideration. Following that, four different fully-designed options will be presented to the board as the first reading in their November meeting. A second reading and call for a vote will take place in December. Fully-designed versions of the finalized calendar will be posted on the District website by the end of December.
