PROPOSED CLOSURE OF LIBERTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND BOUNDARY REALIGNMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Murray City School District Board of Education is considering the closure of Liberty Elementary School, effective beginning with the 2027–2028 school year.
The Board of Education is also considering school boundary changes associated with the proposed closure. The proposed changes would affect the attendance boundaries for Grant Elementary, Longview Elementary, McMillan Elementary, Parkside Elementary, Hillcrest Middle School, and Riverview Middle School, also effective beginning with the 2027–2028 school year.

No final decision has been made regarding the proposed school closure or boundary changes. The Board of Education is seeking public input and will consider feedback received before taking final action, which is scheduled for December 10, 2026.
The Board of Education will hold a public hearing to receive public comment regarding the proposed closure of Liberty Elementary School and the associated school boundary changes.
