Murray Education Foundation’s Teacher Endorsement Scholarship supports Murray educators who are dedicated to advancing their own skills and experience to support students. This scholarship seeks educators who exhibit a genuine passion for fostering the academic and personal growth of all learners, ensuring every child’s potential is nurtured to the fullest.

For the 2025-26 school year, the MEF Board of Directors is making available up to $1600 of funding to support for one or possibly two scholarships to award licensed teachers in the Murray City School District. Each application will be reviewed for potential selection by a panel of administrators. We anticipate award letters going out within 30 days of this application's close date. Funding can be used to cover registration and course fees, along with course required materials. Payments will be made directly to institutions or providers.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

Educational Background:
Must hold a valid Utah teaching certification/license. Demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate or graduate coursework.

Professional Experience:
At least two years of teaching experience in a K-12 educational setting. Evidence of commitment to supporting all learners individually and collectively.

Commitment to the Field:
A personal statement describing their passion for teaching students, and how the endorsement will enhance their teaching practice. A plan for implementing strategies and programs to serve learners effectively.

Recommendation:
At least one letter of recommendation from a school administrator, colleague, or mentor attesting to the applicant’s dedication and aptitude for teaching.

Community Impact:
Demonstrated involvement in school or community initiatives relevant to other work they have done or for work related to the new endorsement they seek.

Scholarship Obligations:
Commitment to completing the endorsement program within a specified timeframe. Agreement to continue working at Murray City School District School for a minimum of two years post-completion.
