credit card handed overMurray City School District (MCSD) Administration was informed that some parents have bypassed the Rev-Trak payment system for school lunch payments to avoid credit card fees.  Instead, they have been paying directly at their school (using a different payment system), which does not assess a transaction fee.  This creates additional work for the school finance secretary but shifts the credit card processing cost to the school itself.

After reviewing the financial position of the Child Nutrition program, the MCSD Administration has determined that all credit card fees for school lunch purchases on the Rev-Trak system will be waived beginning November 1, 2023, and through the remainder of the school year.  This temporary policy change will be reviewed annually. MCSD recognizes the financial pressures and current economic conditions many families face and hopes this temporary adjustment is helpful.
