Required documentation

For all students new to the district.

Please take the required documentation directly to the school where you are registering your child on the kindergarten registration day or call the school for an appointment.

  1. Certified birth certificate, passport or I94 document.
  2. Two documents proving residency that include parent/guardian name and the physical address - lease/mortgage or utility bill, etc. dated within 60 days, or the acceptance email for the non-resident application.
  3. Immunization record or completed exemption certificate.

If the student registration indicated a health concern, the parent/guardian is liable for completing the appropriate paperwork. The appropriate forms must be printed, completed, and returned to the school as soon as possible. Please go to the Health Services webpage to view these forms.

Bus applications are not necessary. All eligible students have been assigned to a bus.

If your address shows a "walk-zone" under the school information, you are within the walking distance (1.5 miles for elementary, 2.0 for secondary). If under the school information, it shows a bus number, route number, stop location and time, you are eligible and already assigned to that stop. If no information is populated in your search, you are out of the MCSD boundaries and are not eligible for MCSD transportation.

MCSD is going to offer After School Programs at some of our schools for kindergarten - 12th grade students.

To best determine the needs at our schools, it will be helpful for us to gather data so we can develop a program that is fun, exciting and works for you and your students. We will inform parents where the programs will be located after we analyze the data from this form.

celebrating kidRegistration is entirely online in this simple two-step process (please note you must complete BOTH steps to complete the enrollment process).

Please Note:

  • This is only for one of the following: (1) new out-of-boundary students to the district, (2) current students, living outside the district boundary, that are transitioning from elementary to junior high or junior high to high school, or (3) current in-boundary students wishing to attend a different school within the district. All others do not need to re-enroll.
  • The $5 application fee must be paid online before completing the enrollment application
  • Only one application is permitted per student (can only choose one school to apply for enrollment in)
  • Only parents and legal guardians can enroll a student
  • Non-resident applicants will be notified by email as they are processed by the administration. If you don’t see this notice, check your email provider's SPAM folder or call the District Office.
  • OPEN ENROLLMENT applications will be processed and answered by March 31, 2023.

The Two-Step Process:

  1. Go here to pay the $5 application fee.
  2. Go here to complete the Non Resident Application for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year.
  3. Go here to complete the LATE ENROLLMENT Application for the 2023-2024 school year.
