no fireworks symbolWith summer in full swing and the Fourth of July and July 24 festivities approaching, we want to share an important reminder with all citizens: Fireworks are strictly prohibited on ANY Murray school property.

This isn’t just a guideline; it’s a critical measure for everyone’s safety and to protect our shared community resources. In the past, we’ve unfortunately experienced extensive property damage to school parking lots and grounds directly caused by firework use. This damage can be costly to repair and diverts valuable tax-payer resources that could otherwise be used to support our students and schools.

To ensure the safety and cleanliness of our campuses, please know that all school properties have video surveillance in operation. Any individual observed using fireworks on school property will be identified and reported directly to local law enforcement authorities. We work closely with the Murray City Police Department to enforce this policy and keep our schools secure.

We understand the excitement that comes with summer celebrations, but we urge everyone to enjoy fireworks responsibly and legally in appropriate, designated areas. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our school grounds safe, clean, and free from damage for the benefit of all students and the entire Murray community.

If you witness any incidents of firework use on school property, please report it immediately to the Murray City Police Department. Your vigilance helps us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
