We’re excited to have your student in Murray City School District!

If you just moved into MCSD and are interested in enrolling during the current school year (2021-22), follow the instructions below shown in the Non-Resident Application 2021-22 School Year drop-down window.

If you want to enroll in MCSD next school year (2022-23), follow the instructions below shown in the Non-Resident Application 2022-23 School Year drop-down window.

Each year, families interested in having their student attend in Murray are invited to enroll their new or transitioning student(s).

  • New students are those who are not enrolled currently at the district.
  • Transitioning students are those who are enrolled in either sixth (6th) or ninth (9th) grade and transitioning to either Riverview or Hillcrest Junior High Schools or Murray High School from one of MCSD's seven elementary schools (Grant, Horizon, Liberty, Longview, McMillan, Parkside, Viewmont).

The designated enrollment period, as outlined by State policy, is December 1st through the third Friday in February each year. MCSD conducts all enrollment electronically, beginning at 8:00 am on December 1 and concluding at 5:00 pm on the third Friday in February.

There is a $5.00 fee that must be paid online at the time of application. Parents or legal guardians may apply ONLY for their own students, no exceptions. Parents may only submit one application for enrollment (only one school may be chosen for their student).

Please note: If your student is already enrolled as a non-resident in MCSD or is not transitioning from elementary school or junior high or from junior high to high school you do NOT need to re-apply.

You will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment application so watch for that. Non-resident applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial by email on March 31.

 

celebrating kidAs open enrollment has ended (Dec. 1 - Feb. 18), you may still apply for LATE enrollment. Administrators have until August 2022 to make a decision regarding LATE enrollment. You will receive an email when a decision has been made.

Registration is entirely online in this simple two-step process (please note you must complete BOTH steps to complete the enrollment process).

Please Note:

  • This is only for one of the following: (1) new out-of-boundary students to the district, (2) current students, living outside the district boundary, that are transitioning from elementary to junior high or junior high to high school, or (3) current in-boundary students wishing to attend a different school within the district. All others do not need to re-enroll.
  • The $5 application fee must be paid online prior to completing the enrollment application
  • Only one application is permitted per student (can only choose one school to apply for enrollment in)
  • Only parents and legal guardians can enroll a student
  • Non-resident applicants will be notified by email in August 2022. If you don’t see this notice, check your email provider SPAM folder or call the District Office.
