- School Schedule: From 8:05 AM to 2:50 PM; Wednesday is Preparation Day with school hours 8:05 AM to 1:40 PM.
- Enrollment: Hillcrest Junior High serves approximately 700 students from 7th through 9th grades.
- School Promotion: Students promoted from Hillcrest attend Murray High School.
- Mascot: Hillcrest Gladiators
- School Colors: Royal Blue & White
- Building History: The original structure was built in 1911 as Hillcrest School and served grades 1-8. From 1913-16 there was a change to a student body of 7th-12th graders. From 1916-54 the school was renamed Murray High & unior High, and then served specifically as Murray Junior High from 1954-1960. The building was once again renamed to the current name of Hillcrest Junior High in the 1960-61 school year. Over the year’s there have been many additions and structural changes to the building complex.
