- Building History – Liberty is the oldest school existing on the original site in the Murray City School District. The original structure was built prior to the formation of the Murray City School District in 1874 as state District #24 School. In 1893 it was replaced by the Winchester School and then renamed Liberty School in 1905, about the time of the organization of the Murray City School District. The school received the addition of 10 rooms in 1957; 5 classrooms, the office and gym in 1964. The oldest building section was demolished in 1988.
