- Enrollment – McMillan Elementary serves approximately 410 students from kindergarten through sixth grade.
- School promotion – Students promoted from McMillan attend Hillcrest Junior High and Murray High School.

- Building History: The school was built in 1954 and originally named Hillcrest Elementary. In 1960 the name was changed to McMillan Elementary and is the only district school to be named after a local family.
