As careful as you are with things you own or don’t own, things get damaged. And we must assume responsibility when that happens. The good news is you can protect yourself against liabilities. This includes the Murray City School District’s (MCSD) Chromebook Insurance program.

Why take unnecessary risks? MCSD Chromebook Insurance protects against:
- Theft
- Fire
- Flood
- Natural Disaster
- Power Surge
- Liquid spills
- Car accident damage
- Cracked Screen
- Vandalism
The $25 cost per Chromebook per year will give you peace of mind knowing that if life happens to your student’s device, you’re covered. The MCSD plan covers incidents on or off campus that are reported to the School office.

Just to give you an idea, no coverage means:
- All repairs must be done by MCSD as outside parts and service voids device warranties
- Household/personal policies may be used; however, claims must be paid within 30 days to the District
- Repair costs are a minimum of $75 for tracking and repair time, PLUS the cost of replacement hardware
