teacher helping parentEnglish-as-a-second language (ESL) parents/guardians in Murray are invited to a special registration assistance night on August 8, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Hillcrest Jr. High. School and district officials will be on hand to provide one-to-one navigation of student registration (K-12). But they are also there to answer questions and connect families with important resources.

Translators representing Spanish, Portuguese, Dar/Farsii, and Arabic, and possibly Vietnamese languages will be onsite to work with ESL families – others will be available to translate by phone-in interpreter services. And Murray will have booths for immunizations and dental clinic signups that are provided at a later date (please bring proof of insurance if you have it).

The District can also arrange for transportation to and from the event for those need it. Please contact Cris Westerfield cwesterfield@murrayschools.org for transportation arrangements.

Attendees should bring with them the following:

  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Proof of residency (examples: Dated within 60 Days: Lease agreement, utility bill, driver’s license, letter from approved government agency, payroll stub, bank/CC statement, vehicle registration/insurance, medical bill; Dated within 12 months: W-2 form, property tax bill.)
