Kindergarten registration is just around the corner. Our district-wide online registration begins March 1 here: https://www.murrayschools.org/registration-page/
However, each school will conduct an in-person Kindergarten registration in March and April (see dates below for your school) to collect the required documents mentioned below.
- Horizon Elementary | March 23 | 2:00 – 5:00 pm
- Longview Elementary | March 23 | 2:00 – 4:00 pm
- Parkside Elementary | March 23 | 2:00 – 5:00 pm
- McMillan Elementary | April 6 | 2:00 – 3:30 pm
- Grant Elementary | April 13 | 1:45 – 3:15 pm
- Viewmont Elementary | April 13 | 2:00 – 3:30 pm
- Liberty Elementary | April 20 | 2:00 – 3:30 pm
The Kindergarten registration process is simple:
- Register for Kindergarten online beginning March 1, AND come to your school’s registration day to submit official documents
- Bring the following: (1) your child’s original birth certificate (alternatively passport or I-94 form), (2) two documents proving residency (must include parent(s) or guardian(s) name(s) and physical address), and (3) their original immunization record; we will make copies of each
Please remember that Kindergarten registration is for all children who will turn five years old on or before September 1, 2022. If your child is currently attending the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), you still need to register with your school. All immunization records are due prior to school starting in the Fall.
Kindergarten assessments will be held August 15-19, 2022 and your school will contact you regarding a specific appointment date and time. If you have a child with special needs, please also contact the District Office Special Education Department (Kelli Kercher or Lisa Adair) at 801-264-7400. All other questions are directed to your individual school office.
Early Childhood Education Center (for Children 3-5 years)
Registration is at the ECEC building (73 W. 6100 S.) on any Monday beginning March 14 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Contact Kristin Millet for more information about ECEC at kmillet@murrayschools.org
