Update: 2:15 pm

As you know, Murray High School experienced a building-wide power outage today. The outage resulted from a secondary transformer in the school overheating which caused the main fuse on a city power pole to go out.  A small amount of smoke came from the overheated transformer, but there was no fire, and all students and staff were safe.

We are happy to report that the problem has been resolved and that school will resume tomorrow, Thursday, May 19th, on the school’s regular bell schedule.

We apologize for any inconvenience today. We appreciate your patience and swift response to the issue. If you have questions, please contact the high school office or your student’s teacher(s).
