pre school kids playingSpartan Station is a fully functioning preschool caring for infants and 2-4-year-old preschool children. Primarily the service is for MCSD parent educators as a priority.

The preschool provides breakfast, lunch, snacks, and daily naptime. Children are also taken on field trips yearly, including Discovery Gateway, Wheeler Farm, and Hogle Zoo. Spartan Station also welcomes visits from Murray Fire Department, Scales and Tales, and the Gardner Village Petting Farm.

Children perform two yearly preschool programs, one holiday program in December, and a year-end show in May.

Learning Tool for High School Students

Beyond the service it provides educators, Spartan Station is a great venue for Murray high school students to explore careers in education, childcare, and early childhood education. Preschool children enjoy their interactions with our student interns, who work under close mentor supervision to contribute to an enriching environment for children.

They also offer paid internships for exceptional high school students, before and after school, during their senior year. Many students have gone on to successful careers in education with a great start at Spartan Station.
